AAA Certification
AAA Certification means that America Shredding has been NAID
certified by an independent, unbiased security professional that
has inspected all aspects of the operation and has confirmed
that America Shredding has met the highest security standards in
the industry.
Being NAID certified also means that
America Shredding is subject to random inspections at our
facility or out in the field while we conduct business. This is
done to insure that we maintain compliance in regards to
security policies set up by NAID. Each year we are audited to
make sure that we stay in compliance with the certification
process which includes the following:
Review of our policy and procedure manuals,
employment records of employees, promotional materials,
insurance policies and all paperwork. We are audited at our
facility to check our security, destruction equipment and access
control systems.
Requirements for AAA NAID certification:

All employees must sign confidentiality
statements

All employees with access to
confidential information must:

Pass a 7 year criminal background check
in all counties, states where they lived and worked (annual
random background checks to be performed on 33% of
employees)

Pass pre-employment drug test and
subsequent random testing (company must test at least 50% of
employees every year)

Drivers are enrolled in DMV pull notice
program which monitors their driving records

The company has written polices and
procedures for drivers and other employees and that those
procedures are followed

Employees display picture ID badges at
all times

Materials are always attended or
secured before they are destroyed
-
Materials are securely contained during
transfer from customer to shredding machine

All vehicles used for transfer have a
current government road worthiness inspection on file
-
All vehicles have lockable cabs and
boxes
-
Results of paper destruction are a
maximum of 5/8 inches wide and 2.5 inches long

Company is legally registered business
in the state of residence

Company carries general liability
insurance of $2,000,000 or more
